Biographical Info Ali S is a Country Music Singer/Songwriter from Boulia. A remote outback town in North West Queensland, which has a population of 300 and is situated 300km south of Mt Isa. Ali’s cultural heritage originates from the people of the Yulluna Tribe. Ali's music is inspired by artists such as George Strait, Brooks'n'Dunn, Alan Jackson, Adam Harvey and Troy Cassar-Daley. Ali S has a traditional country style, with a contemporary twist, appealing to country music fans of all ages. His songs are based around life on the land, famous country music artists and the legends that entertain us in the rodeo circuit. Ali S has spent the majority of his life in North West Queensland, where he has worked as a Plumber, Underground Miner and Road Contractor. His love of singing has also been there, whether he is singing to his work crew while camped out on the Plenty Highway between Boulia and Alice Springs for weeks at a time, or heading down to the 'local' in Mt Isa and Boulia with his crew on his days off. Ali S is a graduate of the Australian Academy of Country Music and has been mentored by the likes of Kevin Bennett, Lyn Bowtell, Roger Corbett, Simon Johnson and Lachlan Bryan, not to mention Catherine Britt, Fanny Lumsden, Amber Lawrence and Kasey Chambers. Ali’s songs tell story’s about life in outback Australia. The first single released of this album was 'I Need A Beer’ which was co-written with Catherine Britt, hit number 3 on the iTunes Country Charts on the 2nd of June. 'Ali S on an Outback Tour', will see Ali S and his band, touring Western and North West Queensland stopping at Boulia Camel Races, Cannington Mines, Cloncurry NAIDOC Week Celebrations, Winton Camel Races, Mt Isa, Longreach and Barcaldine. Ali S will be performing with a 5 piece band during this tour, which is made up of five talented Australian and International musicians. Cameron Walsh is the Lead Guitarist, Liam O'Donoghue on Bass, Joshua Blaikie on Drums and Liam Kennedy-Clark on Keys. In 2017 you can catch Ali S at Cully Fest 2017, another great 3 day event in Queensland, as well as performing at 'Outback Aussie Tours', in Longreach for the month of October. Ali S has performed at a number of events throughout Queensland and New South Wales some of these include, Julia Creek Dirt and Dust, Doomben Country Race Day, Bedourie Races, Boulia Camel Races, Hayrunners Drought Relief Concert- Brisbane, Warwick Rodeo and Campdraft and the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2017.
