The TSA organise songwriting workshops during the year.
Mid-year there is a workshop held in the Blue Mountains (in conjunction with the Songsalive!Australia songwriting association). It is held over a weekend and enables participants to:
Play their songs and have them critiqued
Network and socialise with each other
Attend sessions tutored by renown songwriters
Co-write songs with other attendees, perform and have your song critiqued
The TSA may organise songwriting workshops during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. Past tutors include: Laurie Minson, Roger Corbett, Luke O’Shea, Doug Bruce, Allan Caswell, Carter & Carter and Matt Scullion.
Participate in music festivals and showcase your songs
Apart from the Tamworth Country Music Festival (in January) the TSA hosts showcases during the mid-year ”Hats Off” Tamworth Country Music Festival (in July) along with music festivals that may include those held in Bonniedoon, Gympie and Blue Water (Port Stephens) . TSA members are able to perform on the TSA stage and showcase their songs to the audience.
Enter songwriting contests at a discounted members rate:
Members who wish to enter the TSA Songwriter Salute Awards are able to enter at a discounted rate.

The TSA Hosts a get together for Members only at the TCMF in January and invites other industry contacts.
